Envisaged Publication of Achin Event:
The Organizers will seek to place this first Achinese Week in the European or German newspapers. This event will result also in an edited volume of serial publication in English and German, an international journal "ACHIN ORDO"!
The purpose of the publication will be to provide more information about Achinese Sumatran issues in context of Indonesia/ASEAN and the development of the region for a broadly public benefit. It will focus on a particular issue in economic, cultural, scientific and educational cooperation.
This scientific publication is expected to be attractive not only to scholarly and policy audiences, but also to students in interdisciplinary studies. In the policy community, this publication is expected to attract the interest of businessmen, government officials/politicians, NGO staff and development/technical workers to reconstruct Aceh Sumatra after the Tsunami Disaster (2004) & Helsinki Peace Accord (2005).
To sum up, is to quote our old Achinese motto: "Not clash of cultures, but complement of world cultures"!
